SplatteringSplattering allows you to create random patterns and shapes on your piece in a fun and messy manner (the two seem to go together, don't they). Splattering can be used alone for effect or over other techniques to add a bit of 'spice' and added color. As we mentioned, splattering is messy so we urge that you take care to be sure the underglaze being splattered does not go places it shouldn't. As you know, the underglaze is totally nontoxic and washable so getting it on other artists is not horrible but they may take some negative interest should you provide 'interesting' and uninvited splattering on their pieces. Splattering has the habit of going far so take care. Step 1If you wish, paint the piece using other techniques such as the flowing coat.
